Tapping Units
Form threads within the press stroke.
In-die tapping units form threads directly inside the tool, as the press runs — removing a secondary operation and keeping the part in the strip. Steinel offers both an electric (S-Former E) and a purely mechanical (S-Former Z) solution, in versions suited to progressive stamping tools.
